Kindergarteners and first-graders at Christian Home & Bible School jumped into a new study program about the Amazon rain forest this week. Each student had to research and create a rain forest animal. Live palms and tropical plants along with the students' animals were used to transform the lobby of the school dining hall into a rain forest café.
Students and parents are selling rain forest snacks at school all week. Proceeds from the sale will be used to help preserve acres of the Amazon rain forest through the Rainforest Alliance.
