Officials in Brazil have found an unusual way to help hundreds of thousands of people affected by severe flooding in the north of the country.
For more than a month, the north and north-east of Brazil has been hit by unusually heavy rains, causing severe flooding.
Nearly 500,000 people have been displaced and at least 44 have died as a direct result of the floods.
The government has come up with a novel solution; it is going to make available lumber seized from illegal loggers in the Amazon rainforest for people in the flooded areas to rebuild their homes.
Some homes will also be put on stilts to protect them from future floods.
The Rio Negro, a major tributary of the Amazon, is responsible for most of the damage.
It is a river that rarely overflows and runs through a particularly arid part of Brazil.
