A group of cyclists from the UK are gearing up to take on a rainforest biking challenge which will see them peddle through tropical forests in Brazil and Peru.
According to This is Kent, Tony Martin and sisters Alex and Charlie Petkovic are to head off on a South American cycling trip that will see them pass through the Andes mountains and Peru.
The trek is a particular challenge for Tony, 28, who six years ago almost lost a leg after a biking accident. He spent half a year trying to walk again and has now set his sights on completing the rainforest challenge.
As well as the cycling, the journey will see the trio embark on a day-long mountain trek. Money raised will go to the Barnados charity.
Blue Peter presenter Helen Skelton also recently headed to the rainforest for a charity trip, paddling 2,010 miles down the Amazon river in a canoe to raise money for Sports Relief.
