A bulletin board with a rainforest theme will help your students learn more about the history and importance of the rainforest. In order to make a successful and educational bulletin board, you can work closely with your students to put up the information that they want to learn about the most. Here are some ideas for creating a rainforest themed bulletin board.

1. One of the first steps to creating a themed bulletin board is to gather the information that you want to put on it. At the very least, start organizing your information so that you can easily put them into sections once you are ready to put them up on the bulletin board. You can do this step with your students by grouping your students so that each group is responsible for a section of the bulletin board. In this case, one group can work on the Amazon rainforest while another group might work on rainforest areas in Southeast Asia. You can also do a "general" bulletin board by finding information that generalizes the rainforest, although it is probably better to focus on particular sites because your students can glean more knowledge from examples.

2. Once you have gotten all of your information, you can type it up and make it presentable for the bulletin board. Section off parts of the bulletin board and use hand-written titles to name each section. If you have a particularly large bulletin board, this might be an easy task because you do not have to try to make lots of information fit into a small area. If you have a small bulletin board, you will have to really focus on to each rainforest example.

3. The next step is to start putting up the information using thumbtacks. Then, it is time to start putting up the decorations and other accessories. You can put pictures of the rainforest as well as examples of animals that inhabit them. You can also put decorative shiny stars and confetti to liven the board. Make sure you've got a nice border to trim the inner edge of the bulletin board. You should also put up a catchy title that catches people's attention. One good way to tie up all of the information is to create a tree out of construction paper and use thumbtacks to attach it to the bulletin board. This tree can be part of the background.

As you can see, creating a rainforest-themed bulletin board is not difficult. If you get help from your students, you can create a really good educational tool.
